Welcome!

Thank you for stopping by! Here's a little about me and why I am running for Pit River Tribal Council...

Dear Ajumawi Band Members,

My name is Christopher Orozco, and I am deeply honored to announce my candidacy for Ajumawi Band Representative to the Pit River Tribal Council. I am the son of respected Tribal elder Yvonne Orozco (Elmore), and I am a proud father to my two beautiful children Matthew and Amelia. My commitment to our Tribe is rooted in a deep desire to see us thrive economically, socially, and culturally. I am running to be the voice of our people, ensuring that every decision made reflects the needs and aspirations of our members.

Economic Development

Our Tribe’s economic future is a priority. I will work tirelessly to create sustainable economic opportunities that benefit all Tribal members. By leveraging our unique resources and establishing new partnerships, we can build a strong Tribal economy that supports the growth and prosperity of our members. By focusing on sustainable economic development projects, we can grow the revenue needed to support strong social service programs to enhance the quality of life for our people.

Workforce Development

A strong Tribal economy is built on a skilled workforce. I am committed to enhancing workforce development programs that provide our members with the training and education needed to succeed in today’s competitive job market. By investing in our people, we can ensure that every Tribal member can achieve their full potential and contribute to our Tribe’s success.

Government That Works for You

I believe in a Tribal government that is transparent, accountable, and responsive to the needs of its people. As your council representative, I will advocate for policies and initiatives that prioritize the well-being of our members. I will work to ensure that our Tribal government serves you effectively, and provides the support and resources necessary for our Tribe to thrive. I also believe the right to govern our Tribe belongs to all Tribal members, wherever they may reside.

A Voice for All

I am running to serve you and be the voice of the Ajumawi Band on the Pit River Tribal Council. Your concerns, ideas, and dreams will guide my actions on the council. While I would be one vote at the council table, I am committed to working together with all Band Representatives so that we can build a future where every member of our Tribe feels heard, valued, and empowered. I believe it is time to discover new ways we can move forward and grow together.

It would be such an honor to serve you as our Ajumawi Band Representative. I will work to earn your trust and support every day. Together, we can achieve great things for our Tribal elders, children, grandchildren, and the generations that follow us.

Respectfully,

Christopher J. Orozco

Born and raised in Northern California, and a proud member of the Pit River Tribe.
